Harrogate Spa Town Ukes are Harrogate's local ukulele band, Formed some 9 years ago, the 40 strong club meets weekly at Oatlands Social Club for rehearsals and a strum and sing. Up to 24 members of the club make up the band, which performs regularly throughout the district, playing vintage rock, pop and family favourites. The Ukes have played at the Harrogate Summer Concert series, Little Bird Artisan Markets, the Harrogate and Knareasborough Christmas Markets, the Harrogate Food Festival, the Jubilee celebrations on the Stray, the Birstwith Show and regular appearances at the Victoria Centre. All performance fees and collections are donated to St Michael's Hospice, with just over £4000 raised in 2022.
