Natasha Gilyard Exhibition

I currently live in Knaresborough, having lived locally in Harrogate for over 30 years. I used to visit Knaresborough regularly, spending time by the river and walking through the castle grounds and market place, admiring the quaint, scenic beauty of the surroundings. Being lucky enough to live in the town, I am able to walk amongst it’s centuries old history every day and marvel at the magical streets and buildings whilst wondering on the people that have walked these same streets before me and the dark secrets, tales and stories they would be able to tell.

My artwork specialises in architectural portraits. For feva 2022 Festival I produced work inspired by the ghosts and witches of Knaresborough. For this year's feva Festival I have added to the collection with some paintings of the fabulous eating and drinking spots around the town, painting vibrant tablescapes in gouache. The Castle, Market Square and famous Mother Shipton’s Cave are all featured in a collection of paintings, showcasing the town’s beautiful and iconic buildings and landmarks, incorporating its ghostly past with a spooky twist.
