Celebrating the Lives of Knaresborough, Continuing Bonds with Loved Ones

Event Details

This walk will commemorate and celebrate the people or significant places of Knaresborough.

These celebrations will take the form of readings, poems, songs, short plays and pieces of art.

The “Continuing Bonds with Loved Ones” aspect of the walk is that once each commemoration has taken place, attendees will be invited to speak, or read, in memory of a person they have lost – perhaps a person for whom the character or place had or has resonance or significance. This could be from or for a local person, or in memory of the many people who have visited Knaresborough and have especial memories of our magical town.

Amongst the places visited will be St Roberts Cave, The Chapel of Our Lady of the Crag, the Castle, The Market Place, the Riverside and Conyngham Hall. Attendees may join at any point as per the itinerary.
