Snake Davis Solo

Date
Snake Davis Solo

Event Details

Snake Davis is on his own tonight, an informal acoustic evening of music and chat in two parts.
Actually not really on his own, in Part 1 he’ll have his musical instrument family with him, the whole range of saxophones plus flutes, whistles, steel handpan, didjeridoo and the Japanese Shakuhachi.
Relaxed and intimate. He tells us ‘My musical life is all about sound. Playing solo, un-amplified, in the awe-inspiring acoustic of a wonderful church is my absolute favourite environment.’

Part 2 ‘My greatest hits’
Snake has a dual career. He tours and releases music as himself, and he operates as a hired gun, a session player. On the session-man front he’s been at no.1, top of the charts twice over the last year, with Olly Murs and Shania Twain.
In part 2 he’ll perform some of his best known sax solos, including Take That’s ‘Million Love Songs’, M-People’s ‘Moving on up’ + ‘Search for the Hero’, Lisa Stansfield’s ‘Change’, Klingandes ‘Jubel’ and the theme tune from ’The Office’. He’ll play them in context and give us a few words on how they came about.
