Narrative Objects - Work in Progress

Event Details

During the weekends of 9–10th and 16–17th August, Zoe Phillips will be artist-in-residence at The Cow Shed. Visitors are invited to meet Zoe, view her previous work, and witness her creative process as she develops a new body of work.

Blending nature, wellbeing, and mental health, Zoe crafts bespoke handmade objects using ceramics, brass, and leather. Her pieces serve as vessels for storytelling and connection. Alongside her sculptural work, pencil and ink studies will also be on display, revealing the origins of her artistic explorations. This is an opportunity to engage in dialogue and reflection within a peaceful and creative space.

Zoe Phillips is a mixed media artist who explores our connections with objects and the narratives they hold. Her work invites conversations about how we view and interact with the world and each other. With a focus on wellbeing, mental health, and art, Zoe’s work sparks conversations about disability, neurodiversity, and inclusion. Influenced by nature, she realises many of her pieces in sculptural form, blending ceramics, brass, and leather.

The Cow Shed is located in a private field between 20 and 22 Waterside, HG5 8DF. Look out for signs by the gate. Please note there is no toilet on site
