Event Details

Explore exquisite textile art at Tanacetum during Feva by Heather Doyal and Rosie Lee Hood, featuring unique knit designs and innovative wool lamp designs.

Heather Doyal presents "Heather Doyal Knits," showcasing hand-knitted designs inspired by Nidd Gorge and North Yorkshire. As a fourth-generation Knaresborough knitter and an accredited instructor by the Craft Council of America, Heather's exhibition includes original hand knits, patterns, books, and kits. Highlights include the Tansy mitts with intarsia and embroidery, the Shades of Heather mitts featuring six shades from the Heather Society Colour Chart, and the Snow Falling on Nidd Gorge purse.

Rosie Lee Hood introduces "Floccus," an innovative collection of lighting designs that aim to combat the chronic devaluing of British wool. Each lamp in the collection is named after the breed of sheep it uses and is 100% traceable to its flock. Rosie, a winner of the New Designers Ethical Design Award (2023) and a member of Green Grads, showcases the incredible versatility of British wool, shining a new light on this often-overlooked fiber.

Visit Tanacetum to explore these beautiful and thought-provoking textile artworks.
